POSITION TITLE:          CBISD Police Officer

FLSA:                             Non-Exempt

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Assist the police chief in providing a safe environment for students and staff. Maintain and enforce municipal, county, and state ordinances and laws as well as policies, directives, and standards of the district.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

Assist the police chief in providing a safe environment for students and staff.

Maintain and enforce municipal, county, and state ordinances and laws as well as policies, directives,
and standards of the district.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of police procedures

Knowledge of criminal investigations, police report writing, and criminal law

Training and ability to subdue offenders, including use of firearms and handcuffs

Bondable as required by Texas Education Code §37.081(h)

Ability to take Oath of Office

Strong communication, public relations, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work with students

 EXPERIENCE:

Two years of law enforcement experience preferred
